Polycom Appoints Keith Carter as Vice President Channel Partners in EMEA

LONDON/SLOUGH, UK - 01 Jun 2010 : Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), a global leader in telepresence, video, and voice communications solutions, today announced it had appointed Keith Carter as vice president for channel partners in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Keith will be responsible for developing and implementing the channel strategy and partner programme across the EMEA region. His role will be to ensure optimal channel coverage and partner performance to achieve growth targets, in line with Polycom's worldwide value-based channel strategy.

"With Polycom's indirect go-to-market approach, successful channel partners are essential for the success of our business. We need to be able to operate consistently with our global partners in EMEA, but also locally with our regional channel partners in terms of channel strategy and programmes," said Mike Swade, President EMEA at Polycom. "I am delighted that a recognised expert like Keith Carter is joining the EMEA leadership team to drive what is deemed to be absolutely crucial."

Keith is a long standing industry veteran in the networking and communications industry and before joining Polycom he was responsible for the Consultancy Services and Integration Global Business Development business at Orange Business Services. Previously, he headed up the European Alliances division at Dimension Data and Datacraft in Asia. Keith held various other leadership positions across the globe including strategic alliance manager for Cisco Systems in the Asia-Pacific region and IBM in EMEA.

Keith has an HND in Engineering Science and Technology from London and is based at Polycom's offices in Slough, near London.
