Three of these five Laureates were named as Finalists in their division, with one of these three finalists, the ‘Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing’ in Warsaw, Poland named 21st Century Winner in the Healthcare Category. This year's Honourees were commemorated during the 22nd Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening, which took place June 7, 2010 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. For more than two decades, Computerworld Honours has acknowledged those individuals and organisations that have used information technology to benefit society.
