Key Features

The Avaya Video Telephony Solution (AVTS) integrates Avaya telephony capabilities with Polycom HD voice and HD video to provide point-to-point and ad hoc multipoint conferencing. With Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager at the core, AVTS leverages Avaya presence and instant messaging applications and connects voice and video endpoints seamlessly and directly, allowing users to collaborate using Polycom desktop, conference room systems, or immersive telepresence solutions. Integration with the Polycom RMX conferencing platform enables effective multipoint video conferences.

Built on open standards, the solution provides a full range of video telephony capabilities:

  • Personal video: place a voice call with Avaya IP Softphone or Avaya one-X® Communicator and add video--with one click
  • Conference room video: quickly launch a group voice and video call using a Polycom HDX or legacy series systems and easily add other participants on-the-fly
  • Call Control: extend telephony features to Polycom video calls including hold, transfer, and forward
  • Integrated voice and video: use a single network and common global dial plan
